The wave lagoon will cover an area of approximately 4,000 square metres which is equivalent to three Olympic swimming pools.

In a first for Australia, the wave lagoon will be capable of a range of different wave types including a wave height of more than 1.2 metres which is suitable for boogie board riders and family fun. The shallow section of the lagoon is a perfect wading area for toddlers.

This exciting new wave lagoon will offer protection from stingers and crocodiles, creating a huge attraction to the Darwin Waterfront with a year round water sport environment in Darwin.
